Reputable / Cheap Shops?

Hello AZ,

Wondering if any of you had any experience with shops regarding a lift install. Thinking about going with the BDS 6" but curious on what prices I should expect for the install.

Gilbert. I see you got some stuff from SDHQ. How are they?

 

Super Duty hq does quality work and I the local icon distributor. I had my suspension done with them. Sierra Expeditions is great too. Kyle is talented and we'll versed in Tacos.

 

They definitely know their shit that's for sure they sell a lot of the high end stuff there so you get what you pay for I'm not sure what kind of lift you want but give them a call and ask for Vince and say you are a TW member looking for information he will sort you out

 

Thanks guys, was thinking of a BDS 6" lift as its only a few more bucks compared to the 4".

I opened up a thread in the general area before as well. I was to run Toyo Open Country MT's 285/75R16 but I read that some people need spacers with a 16" wheel so I may just do 17inch rims...

Also, a friend of mine said anything above 285 would require a re-gearing in the tranny due to my taco becoming a turtle. Any experience with this topic?

Regearing the front axle (if 4wd) and the rear axle. When going with taller tires yes, you may need to change the gears to get the rpms back to around stock and have better takeoff and so forth.

 

Iv'e seen his truck with a leveling kit and he was running 285's...they look damn good so I will be okay with them. Curious on what you guys are running.

Also, I have a pre runner off road.

 

You don't need to regear with 285s it's perfectly okay

Use to be in AZ. Didnt have a shop install my stuff, but I have heard nothing but good stuff about SDHQ.

I was at 2.5 but I put lift spindles in and was at 4" in the front and had coilovers too and I loved it lift spindles are awesome for 2wd

 

What about running a 6" lift with 35"x12.50R17?

 

It's doable you will have some rubbing but it wont be bad as far as regear I dont thing our trucks need it with 35's

I'd rather go this style compared to a 6" lift. I am gonna go with Bronze rims though for the 16x8 counter steers.

 

That would be an all pro regular bumper, Allpro's long travel kit they are Hancook Dynapro mt tires probably 35's because why not. Those are the same ones I have. Also most likely allpro sliders as well

 

Gotta say that yes there are some out there that fit that description, you usually can't put "reputable" and "cheap" in the same sentence with shops. Hahaha. If it's reputable, it usually isn't cheap. If it's cheap, it usually isn't reputable. But some rare ones do exist.
