I'm new to the forum and am looking for some experienced advice before I purchase a Tacoma. My first choice is a Black with Grey interior 07-08 2WD double cab but am open to other colors.

I have searched a bit online and came accross a couple on autotrader that look decent but i'm not sure of the price. I'm sure they are overpriced and could be negotiated lower but I just need some other opinions from owners that already went through the purchase and have a good idea of what to pay.

Let me know what you guys think and any advice you have before I venture off to buy this truck.

    THX
    Kevin

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Welcome to TW!!!

They both seem to be a little overpriced but not much, say $1-2K based on KBB.com. You may be able to talk them down a little. My personal choice would be the TRD.

Welcome! Search on craigslist like its your job and you will eventually find your dream truck. It took me two and a half months and I had to drive to Tucson to get it but it was well worth it.

Definitely get the TRD OffRoad one. That way you can come on some of our wheeling trips (it's got a rear locker)

Welcome to TW, and both look pretty nice but I'd definitely go with the TRD Off-Road as well. Love that locker (same mine is but access cab). I'd also try to talk them down a bit, seems a bit over priced for that millage. On the flip side, I guess mine's worth a lot still :D

That first one is over priced i have a 05 Tacoma with a 6in lift and 4WD for around 23k and it had about 35k miles...

Welcome! Yeah they are both overpriced but seems like they really mark up used Tacomas. I Picked mine up 2 months ago. It was the last 08 (Base) 4x4 in Phoenix but i snagged it for 21k.

Another thing to consider is negotiating having the TSB done if you buy from a toyota dealership.

Also check Cars.com. Alot of the dealers use that one. You may want to sign up for Carfax. You can get unlimited VIN number searches for $39.95 a month.
    I would definitely check Craigslist.
