Alignment shops in the valley

I was talking with the owner, Mike. On the spec sheet it states that the tech was "Bear".

 

Yeah, I went in there yesterday and Mike was in the office. I told him I had just added a new 3" lift kit to the truck and some adjustable upper control arms, so I wanted to get it aligned. I told him I was recommend by a friend and told him the specs that I wanted (camber and toe at 0 and caster at 2.9) He's the one that told me he's been in the business long enough to know what's right...

 

Not necessarily being a dick, but he definitely was giving me the attitude that I'm just a dumb kid who got specs off the internet and he was the one who knows how to do this, so don't tell him what to do...

So how did it go?

 

The truck still pulls to the right a little bit. Not as bad as before, but it can be better. The tech wants me to bring it back again tomorrow since he didn't have much time to play with it today. The specs are now:

Camber: Left 0.3, Right 0.2
Caster: Left 2.2, Right 3.1
Toe: Left .05, Right .07

So now I'm going back there for a 3rd time. Wish I just went somewhere else from the start...

 

Dude your right caster is way wacked out...

Here are my alignment specs after Big O got done with it the second time and a different location

L >>>>>>>>> R
0.2 Camber 0.2
2.1 Caster 2.3
0.01 Toe 0.03

If they can do it, schumans should be able to as well.

Oh and the tech at big o said you want a small amount more caster on the right side, because our roads are crowned here.

 

Thanks for posting that. I'm just going to have him try and get the camber and toe as close to 0 as possible, then at least get the caster back to smaller variance between the two. My caster specs are almost 1 full degree apart, that's too much.

 

Any recommendations to which Firestone I should go to, I want to do the lifetime alignment but it sounds like shops vary from one to another. THANKS

 

I got the Firestone lifetime alignment as well; I'll be coming in for my 3rd next week.

 

Will they align to the specs you want? How much was your lifetime alignment as well if you dont mind me asking

 

the camber and toe at 0 and caster at 2.9 a generic number that with any lift or anything you should aim for? im getting an alignment probably tuesday and this would be helpful info thanks

 

so just curious what should i ask my alignment to be with the spindles and eibach springs?

 

total lift will be what like 5.6": 4" spindles and 1.6" springs.

ya and tc arms
