You can get flashed if the camera pics up an object going to fast. Sometimes just passing another car will trigger it. Also it may have flashed for someone else and not you. They are set to ticket at 11mph over (10mph leeway).

I wouldn't pay anything unless you're served by an officer of the law. I refuse to pay a ticket to a company that is not legally law enforcement myself.

I thought your were referring to it being camoflaged, like the cameras couldn't see it. :)

Just a bunch of old crap
I got 2 in a row, both timed only one minute apart out on the 101. The first was a fixed camera that nabbed me when I was messing with my MP3 player. As I was cursing at that one, I paid no attention to the van parked a mile up the road after it. I ignored them both and they are now adjudicated according to the maricopa.gov records site. Done and Done!

I did find out though that they don't send tickets out if you are sporting a temporary plate. I got another one on the 51 in my 4runner where the speed limit drops from 65 to 55, and they never sent me a ticket. I asked my friend who worked for RedFlex (who was laid off after that guy was shot and killed on the 101), and he said they dont send out tickets unless you have a permanent plate.

heh.. i totally work there.. oh no shame on me! but anyways if its in the morning or evening the cameras are calibrated remotely and need test shots to get the lighting right. alot of people get all pissed on and even turn around when im doing test shots in the vans but i just tell them they are good and it was only a test shot, so they smile and leave and everyones happy

Taco Gunner is totally right! I have been doing this for years and never have I had to pay, they tried to serve me once and that was years ago, but you just dont answer the door, pretty simple.

The problem is, and it will always be, that it is plain and simply unconstitutional to serve tickets by camera this way. You cannot face your accuser, which is the camera, in a court of law and it cannot be proven that it is you who is behind the wheel picture or no picture. The police know this, therefore it is why they dont sweat the people who dont turn in the ticket. They just prey off of the ignorant honest dum dum that decides to admit he is caught, even though his constitutional rights were violated by these unlawful cameras.

....we live in a country of total survelance now, and its only going to get worse unless we fight it! This deeply saddens me, but I have said for many years now that the advent of technology will bring about the source of our greatest accomplishments but at the ultimate price of our Freedoms in this country. Our forefalthers are rolling over in their graves in discust I am sure......
