Off-duty police officer carjacked at gunpoint in Glendale

An off-duty police officer was carjacked at gunpoint in Glendale Wednesday morning, officials said.
Police are not releasing which agency the officer was with, but Glendale Police spokeswoman Officer Karen Gerardo said the officer was not with the Glendale Police Department.​

The incident occurred near 55th Avenue and Thunderbird Road, around 5 a.m.
Police have not yet released any further details. ​

same thing just happened in Chicago. off duty cop, back from 2 tours in Iraq was "motorcycle jacked" in front of his parents home. his dad, a retired officer, killed one of the robbers and critically wounded another. unfortunately his son (the officer) was also killed in the incident. pretty unbelievable.
