Anyone good with lighting in the west valley?
looking to see if there is anyone on the west side that might be down to help me wire in some aux lights with an FJ switch and toss some beers back... on me of course!

Lighting is simple. The hardest part is making the install clean and un noticeable. I dont mind helping out. Let me know when. I am around 91st and grand ave.

Awsome! ya it does not seem to be to difficult, the only part where i second guess myself is getting the wiring right for the switch illumination and the switch LED.... i am gonna be picking up my avid bar some time this week so i will pm you when i get it and we can set something up.....

Sounds good. I will be out of town this weekend, but I am free most days after 3.

Also are you using a factory fj switch?

Drummer0247 03-27-2013 02:05 PM

Nice! Love the factory switches. Make for such a clean install. Is it just the switch or does it have wire pigtails?

Drummer0247 03-27-2013 02:27 PM

well i bought the harness but they are two different guage wires, so im thinking about swinging by the dealershp and picking up the pigtails and using that instead.....

05TacoRunner 03-27-2013 02:41 PM

Do you have a link to said harness?

Drummer0247 03-27-2013 02:53 PM

here is the part number PT297-35070-SH, i have seen folks before use it but you obvioulsy need to cut and splice the wires for it to work....theyre cheaper then buying the pigtails,.....

Does it look like this: http://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com...5070-SH-AS.jpg

If so here is the wiring diagram. Pretty straight forward.

Drummer0247 03-27-2013 03:11 PM

yup that is it

05TacoRunner 03-27-2013 03:35 PM

Looks simple enough. Let me know when your ready and we will get it handled.

Drummer0247 03-27-2013 03:39 PM

word i will shoot you a pm sometime next week and we can set something up.....

Good choice of switch OP. Definitely makes for a clean install:

I'm obviously a fan of OEM

Drummer0247 03-28-2013 11:26 AM

ya that is what drove me to spend the extra cash for the FJ switch, like to keep that stock look.....

Drummer ... which dealer did you get it from and for how much? I'm getting lights soon too and will likely need assistance wiring ... I'm at Dysart and El Mirage Rd.

I have a fog light kit, under the hood is done. I just need to find the hot wire for the DRL / daytime running lights so I can tap into it. But with bad shoulders it's hard to get under the dash. Plus being fat & old age doesn't help either.:o

I actually have a Python alarm, and just added the OEM status monitor. The glass break sensor isn't wired up to anything, just the LED

*not trying to threadjack*
