2 quick questions for armor tech....1. can i still put my aftermarket toyota skid plate over this one(not the one that comes stock with the truck) or once youput yours on then the others go? 2. when you say 6 factory holes does that mean 6 holes that are not being used and i install with bolts you provide or do i need to unscrew bolts thay are holding other things in place and then r-secure? thanks

the steps to mount the skid are as follows... remove the factory "skid" and the two long brackets that it bolts to.. then use the same bolts that secured that on to bolt up the new skid.. so yes you do have to remove the factory skid in order to use this one...

if that dosn't answer your question just let me know...

if ur needing a skid like this, u dont want to rebolt the cheap ass aluminum "TRD" skid over it...not unless u want a permanent aluminum skid crunched on top of a real one...but i doubt u can actually do it.

if there are 6 mounting holes total how do the other 4 work. the reason i ask is because i am done jimmy rigging my cars and just want to make sure i take 6 bolts out then put 6 bolts back in and i'm good to go......and thanks jhodge 83 that was going to be my next question!!!!!lol

kinda hard to explain where it mounts up if your not looking at it.. but basically there are 6 different locations on the frame that have nuts pre made into the frame.. so we just utilize those locations to bolt up the skid.. it's not "rigged" at all....

    Hi Fire931,

Is this a one-piece skid that will protect both differential and engine?

I noticed that the floor jack point is covered. Do we need to remove this skid when jacking up the front end?

hey there... yes this is a one piece skid that goes from the very front crossmember under the radiator all the way back behind the front differential.. there is no need to remove it to jack up the truck.. just simply place the jack under the skid and have at it....

Yeah, if it can take being set on a rock, I think it can handle a lift jack.
