Is This Location Good For Crossovers?

After removing everything for my install i started to look around for a place to place my crossover. I came across this tiny lil hole which the kick panels normally cover up. It does not appear that water gets in there but i figured i would ask you guys cause im sure someone has done this.

Might be a paint to wireup, but would probably be ok.

why not put them in the cubbies under the rear seats?

Thats where I plan to put mine if I ever get around to installing my stereo equipment

While I didn't put my crossovers in the actual hole depicted, I did leave them loose, kind of jammed in amongst all the wiring harnesses that the kick panel covers. The thick wiring harnesses keep the crossovers from moving around. My door speakers are being powered by the HU right now. If I decide to get an external amp down the road I'll probably move the crossovers closer to wherever I mount the amp.

 

That area is just fine. I'd pack some foam or something in there if you don't mount them to keep them from moving/rattling.

The reason they are not going in cubbies is cuz I have the kicker ds650.2's and the crossover wiring has custom connections on end for tweeters. Don't feel like cutting and running extra wires. Ill just make em comfy in the hole.
