Was thinking of this for my new Tacoma for the 3 and 6 year old. Already have a GPS, so don't need a Nav type. Does anyone have this in their Tacoma? And what do they think? Will also as of now be going through my factory speakers. Can anyone suggest anything better for just a DVD type player?

I don't have the 4200, but I have the 4100, I imagine they are very similar. I absolutely love it, and get many comments from the looks. In the ipod mode, it it sort of unresponsive, and slow in changing song rapidly. This doesn't really bother me, because i just select playlists, and run them through. I ran my ipod cord into my glove box, and it's out of sight. As far as videos go, the picture is great, and the sound is amazing with my factory speakers and 10" sub in the rear. I definitely do not regret buying this.

I believe so. It was included with it from Crutchfield, as well as all the wiring harnesses. Ipod cord was additional though.

yeah I think 499.00 right now from them with all the same. Have you sat in the back and watched it all? My kids are still in booster seats and I want to make sure it shows up good.

No I cant say that I have tried that. In booster seats, and being that short it may be hard to see around the seats. Don't forget you'll need the bypass to use it while driving too, it's really cheap to do.

I've had mine for a while now and I love it. I keep an SD card in there with all my music on it, so I have 2,000+ songs at my finger tips. I also have watched countless DVD's on it when we took some long road trips. Works perfect, no regrets here.

There's an e brake bypass that you will need to use if you want to watch DVD's while driving. Otherwise, the DVD function won't work unless the e brake is pulled. It's a simple $15 mod.

I got mine on ebay. Just search AVH-P4200DVD e-brake bypass. I'm almost positive it was $15. It's just a simple relay that gets wired into the harness.

Crutchfield wouldn't supply it for safety/lawsuit issues. It's something you need to do on your own, or maybe your installer would do it.

I'm looking at the AVH-P3200DVD for my 2008 Access Cab.

I have the steering wheel controls also. Have you guys got yours set up with the controls also? If so, which kit did you get an how easy was it to program?

I didn't get the steering wheel controls done with my 4100. I think it was an extra $75 or so from Crutchfield, and I didnt use them in first place. I like using the touch screen haha!
