Searched for equalizer install w/no results? Looking for recommendation to install 7 or more band equalizer. Already has had all speakers replaced-including door tweets. Currently has premiun factory system w/ amp(factory). Loud enough, just not the sound I am looking for. Want more upper midrange selectability(tuning). Go w/ 2 or 4channel-what wiring harness will be needed. equalizer/booster recommend?
    Help Please!!!

Will you be replacing the OEM headunit? Will you be replacing the factory amp with a new one?

It would be difficult to add an EQ into your system the way it is. If you want to keep your oem headunit, you can add something like the alpine PXE-H650 or H660. However, you'd have to purchase an aftermarket amp with that setup.

I really jusy want to add an equalizer. Just bought the truck recently and noticed all speakers were replaced. has good sound and loud enough- I just prefer to be able to adjust levels more. Prefer more upper mid range sound. Regular oems are not capable of that range.
    Thanks

You're in a bit of a predicament really. Adding an EQ to the stock system is a waste of time IMO. Get an aftermarket headunit with some nice EQ options (5 or 7 band PEQ) and there ya go. If not, you're looking to do a processor and that's quite expensive.

ya I agree 100%. Not to mention most of the old style EQs are not made anymore because most new headunits have them built in.
