Beeping noise when the door is open

I was wondering if anyone knew how to disable the beep when your key is in the ignition and the door is open.

 

If you are a second gen there is. Just search.

i did mine, took 5 seconds, just unplug that green cip under the steering column that ties into the ignition.

 

maybe i'm missing something , but that's the seat belt beep. The door beep is always disabled with the key in the on position.

I'm set to B-off and it beeps with key in the ignition in off or acc position, always a pain when you're trying to do something in the car with the door open.. or just listen to the radio in your driveway.

 

yeah I just disabled it it is really easy just one little clip and its done.

 

yea.. Its an easy fix. Used to be easier on older cars.. With the kids, I'd at least like to have the dash light flashing when they don't close the door well. I like the notification but not when I'm just trying to clean out the car.
I will put it on a switch under the dash or something.

 

Haven't tried this on the Tacoma yet, but on my last truck I would take a screwdriver, or a pen, or something like that and push the door latch down. The door latch that is in the door and hooks onto the post in the door jamb. Upside, no disabling buzzers or wiring required, downside, if you don't remember to push the latch back up when you're done, you get a nice THUD when you try to shut the door.
