Okay, just had my new Pioneer head unit installed but when I turn the volume up past 22 (max is 40) i start to hear static.

If I pause the song and turn it all the way up, there is a fair amount of static.

I cant hear any if it's 22 or under. Is it because of stock speakers?

It's just static. The only way to hear it is to put the volume up pretty high, and pause the song...other than that, I can't hear it while the music is playing

    It's the Pioneer AVH-P3200DVD

You are probably just hearing that 96dB signal to noise your unit has.
