anyone have this sub

thinking about getting this JL Audio CP108LG-W3v3

it will be getting 250 watts, how does it sound and how easily will it fit behind the back right seat of a double cab?

 

The 8w3v3 will fit behind the seat, but I don't kow how that particular box will fit. You made need to build or buy a custom box.

 

thats slightly underpowered if you want to actually bumo especially with a sealed box. i would get the sub, and get a newer custom box in store where you get it installed. it will sound 5x better with a custom vented box with that power

 

Don't know that it would fit behind the rear seat in a double cab, but I have that exact setup behind my front seat in my access cab. Sounds just fine with the 250 watt Alpine amp I have running it. Box does come ported. Granted, I don't want a system that I can annoy people from blocks away, so if that's what you're after it won't do that. I just wanted good bass to hear, you know, in the truck. And for that I was pleasantly surprised with it. Bumps more than enough for me.

 

ordered it ! Did some measurements, it should work. I will let you know how it works out.

 

This is mine. It was built for 2 JL 8" subs. I just put my 1 8" polk in it because if I do one in the other spot it will get wrecked by the metal bars in the back of the seat.
