I have been crunching numbers on paper lately, and was wondering if anyone has been able to do an install without removing the panel on the back of the seat?

Maybe my #s are wrong on the amount of room in the back? :p

Didn't we just have a thread like two days ago about how to get an extra inch of clearance back there by using the second bolt holes for the seat backs?

1.5" dont skimp on my findings! :p

Why don't you want to pull out the plastic? It takes like 2 minutes and another 2 for the seat back plastic

Well, since I first made this post I realized that its probly best to remove the plastic behind the seat anyways sound better rt?

Has it been verified that every yr has that "second hole"?

The 06 has the second holes too
    Got myself another few inches.
I started building the box yesterday. I may have to use a shim around the rim though...to push it further forward into the back of the seat and clear the tunnel.

How much is this box costing you to build?

Personally? It cost me nothing but a few hours and the price of screws/glue (12$ maybe more if need more glue). Got the wood for free, and building it with my dad. Father son project.

    Merry Christmas everyone.
Happy Chanukkah (or whatever everyone else out there may celebrate)

Box should be assembeled by the beginning of the year. Then ill probably run the wire while a family friend who owns an upholstery business carpets it.
Ill probably be posting pics tomorrow. If anyones interested.
