I have a Pioneer AVIC-X920BT, but when I purchased it they gave me a free aftermarket backup camera with night vision. I have been doing alot of research on the web about where to hook up the Violet/White wire, for the reverse gear signal input. In simple terms, I wont my backup camera to turn on when I put it in reverse. Iam thinking of tapping into the red with white stripe wire(picture below). I think this wire will tell my screen to turn on for reverse. What's your thoughs?

Gave it a try and works perfect. Night vision back up camera is pretty cool. I will post pics soon.

I have one, helps with tight spaces, but mostly a novelty.
