Does anybody know where to get sub enclosure carpet that is a decent color match for the gray (almost with a light blue hue maybe?) carpeting in my '10 Tacoma Access Cab? I'm looking for a piece with backing on it.

I can't quite decide if the carpet's really gray or if it's something funkier. The exterior color is Magnetic Gray but some of the interior plastic is blue. Sorry, I must not have the Interior Decorator gene. Anyway, what have you used that blends or matches this interior carpet color?

Daggertats, that looks like a pretty nice match! Seems like Joanne Fabrics might be the place to go, considering the wide variety of materials that people have used from there. Not really into the vinyl/suede solution but I do like the carpet choice you used. Do you remember anything about it? It looks thicker than the typical speaker box carpet stuff they sell on Partsexpress.com and other sites. Is it similar to a heavy fabric or more like a rug? Does the spray stuff in a can hold as well on thicker fabrics?

I appreciate the willingness of guys to post pics of their solutions - keep 'em coming!

yes i used the spray adhesives on everything you see there. its been aprox. 6 months since ive done this project and havent had any issues with it coming undone . i also made a small box for my bench seat to hold cd's etc and used the same fabric. the adhesive worked well but on the tighter bends on it i used hot glue gun just for some extra bonding close to the edges.

forgot to add this.......the material wasnt overly thick imo . it was easy to work with and any place there was a seam it blended quite well making where the two pieces came together invisible.

I got my carpet at Wally World and it matches quite well, maybe a hair darker.

If there is a keystone brothers near you, they sell a silver speaker box carpet that will work out better.
