I am looking to get a doublecab soon, maybe in the fall after i see what 2012 brings.

Anyhow, i know that modern cars can be tricky to wire for aftermarket alarms with all the factory installed anti theft things.

And aftermarket alarms can be configured to do some really cool things, mainly iPhone apps... :)

    My question is,

If i plan to get an aftermarket alarm/remote start system, would it be best NOT to get the optional factory Toyota alarm?
