Yes it is but I emailed the guy who makes them and asked if there was a way for him to cut it the extra 9/16 because they are only 8's, they may surprise me, but I wouldn't think that they would hit hard enough to blow the wood in the back out.

    That's a no-go now I'm thinking of Polk Audio MM480.

So could I add a port to that box by just 18Lx2W pvc in it then sealed the edges? I'm looking to squeeze every ounce of pressure level out of these subs.

Yes, but if you go ported, keep in mind the box tuning frequency and make sure you have a filter on to protect the sub if you're going to be going for max SPL.

That looks like a big box for such a small sub. Did you make it yourself?

SwingCase, driver side. PVC Bike rack. Aftermarket stereo.
Ported boxes use more space, have to subtract out the port area.

Looks like about 6" deep, about 12" tall, and about 24" wide (give or take some numbers). If those guesses are accurate, and he used 3/4" MDF, he is looking around .6 - .7 cubes (less port), which is about where most 8" subs like to be, ported.

It's a 1400 watt 12" Pioneer powered by a 1000 watt Crunch amp. Not the best stuff but I picked it up pretty cheap and I love how the amp lights up. The little V on it pulses... so sweet.

Ill try dig up some old vids and pics.
First i had 2 dd9515G on 6.5 kw rms in a 9 CF tuned 33hz with seats removed.

Then i swapped out the DDs for DC xl's for the new coil config. I was able to run my amps at .33 ohms for Bass race and burps. Gained 2.7 db on this alone.

    Wasn't happy so i walled my truck with 4 Fi neo N3 15s on 2 Soundigital 12kw.
Didn't get to complete the project but did 156.6db at a show and bass raced an easy 150db.

Then stripped that out, sold it all. New project is basically as much as i can fit within a 9cf L shaped box. Custom removable infinity G35 seats for when i go wheeling/ camping and need to take my engel fridge freezer with. Most likely go with 4 12s on 6kw with a massive forward firing kelf'd port
