I am in the market for a Flip Camera, but don't know much about them. Does anyone have one or can give me some pointers on what I need to look for? Is a different brand better? Any suggestions will help, Thanks!

I have a flip ultra hd that i got for christmas in 09... It shoots amazing quality and is super easy to use and has its own video software for pc, or if your a mac it just utilizes iphoto. And for only 200$(at the time, probly cheaper now) I think theyre definitely worth it. You can take screenshots of your videos also, so its kinda like an hd camcorder and camera!!
    Hope this helps!

This really looks like something I might be interested in. I like that you can use a SD card. One question I have for you is do you have to use the speaker attachment to get sound, or is that just to get better sound? I really like this one! Thanks everybody for all the imput!

They are great. My wife's friend works as a sales rep for the company that makes them. My wife always gets the latest and greatest(courtesy of her friend) and they are great. If you like to get video while on the go or have kids that play sports they can't be beat.

I actually just ordered the Kodak thats is similar to the flip. Its the sport though and its water proof to 10 ft. I'm not sure of the exact model # but I could find out. My mom has one which is what made me want one. Great video in and out of the water! Me and my son had alot of fun with it in the pool. Takes decent still pics too as long as there is enough light.

Edit : Oh and I just got it off of Amazon for $111 and it came with a free spare battery. So it was a good deal.

that kodak is pretty sweet but as far as shooting pictures goes.. my iPhone 4 competes with most medium-high digital camers

Ya its not the greatest pics. I wouldn't recommend to get it as a replacement to an actual camera. It does take good video though.

If thats what you want, I'm just saying its not the greatest for just taking pictures. No flash and only 5mp, I have a camera for just taking photos if I want a good pic. But to each his own. Still takes great video! In and out of water.
