Is 2011 better? I didnt even want JBL cause when I was shopping for my tundra in 07 I couldnt tell a difference between stock and JBL. Well in order to get a TRD sport in socal you have to get it with JBL, i thinks its a regional ordering thing. I said oh well it will be nice to have the bluetooth, but I think it sounds pretty damn good. Was planning on doing some upgrades on it but now i might shelf that idea. Does anyone know if something has changed with the JBL systems?

Only thing that has recently changed was the bluetooth and aux input weren't available before

Ya, it sucks they make you buy it if you want a decent level truck. I can't stand the thing and think it sounds horrible (even versus stock systems - my wife's stock Scion system is much better IMO). However, the integration with bt, etc. is nice. All that matters in the end is if you like the sound, since you have to listen to it.

All I know is that the JBL system in my 07 Sport sounds like shit compared to my buddy's JBL in his new 2011...wonder if mine is blown or unhooked or something. I'd be happy if mine sounded like his.

The jbl system sounds good for stock, i think it's abount a 700 dollar option, if you spent 700 bucks on an after market system you would get much better mids and highs but you can't really get a good system with a woofer for that. If you spend 1000 bucks on an after market system it would make the factory jbl one look dumb. Dealerships will roll aftermarket systems into your financing to close a deal on a car. Food for thought the next time you buy a truck.
