Someone said that the factory plugs will plug right into an Eclipse unit. I have personally not seen this.

I have this same unit in the 4Runner... its pretty damn cool. I love the fact it will play videos off an iPod and the Garmin nav UI is really easy to use and looks nice.

Nothing fancy but here you go...
It is a MP3 player too so it's connected to the factory stero via one of the two usaspec adaptor ports.

I bought mine locally from Frys. Got a pretty good deal on it. You can get it online at several places.

Looks pretty nice. I was planning to buy a Pioneer when I bought the Kenwood. But to me, IMO, the older (I guess it would be the version previous to that one you have there) seemed like the interface wasn't as nice.

i don't know if this makes a difference or not but most of the head units that have gps in them will know when you are moving and will block DVD playback... personally i'd go with a cheaper dvd player like the pioneer avh-p4000dvd (i'm most likely going to get this one) and get a garmin external... it will be overall cheaper in the long run and you can take the gps out and take it with you if you ever fly somewhere and get a rental car. also you can get an adapter from http://www.pac-audio.com/ to make the steering wheel controls work the the aftermarket stereo.

pioneer units are oober easy to bypass to play while driving. all i had to do for mine was ground the parking brake wire from the harness to the chassis ground...that was all

EXACTLY!!!! and some of these new headunits (i remember it was one of the pioneer AVIC units) put a gyro in them so it would tell you gforce when going around corners or some shit... well there is no bypass for that! and now all of these units have gps, they'll know when you're moving and restrict playback... thats why i'm going with the pioneer avh-p4000dvd, that and it can play dvix movies!!! just think how many mp3s you could fit on a dual layer dvd... who needs an ipod???

I had the Eclipse AVN6620 and if I'm not mistaken, the steering controls do work straight out of the box.

I have a Scion Nav unit that I bought from a yard.
It was pretty much plug and play in my 05, just needed the dbl din bezel.
Steering wheel controls work and the DVD while driving is overridden.
