I just finished installing the aux input/ipod kit from Isimple.

I followed the instruction posted on here for taking about the stereo/dash which really helped with the install. When I was all done I realized the Ipod connection does nothing more than transmit sound. No charging and no ipod control. Also, in order to get to the aux/ipod input, I have to cycle through the inputs using the Mode button on the steering wheel controls, not by hitting the Disc button on the HU.

FYI, I have a non-JBL, 6 Disc changer without the "sat" button.

    Anyone else experience anything similar?

Also I'm looking for a place to install a flush AUX female 3.5mm jack to avoid having wires hanging out of the dash and the first place that came to mind was the little black piece under the vent on the passenger side of the stereo (same as where the 4x4 controls are on the driver side) but found this connector behind the panel. Anyone know what it's for?

So I can mount the 3.5mm input there without any trouble?

And no, I have terrible luck on RUTR
