My Budget Audio Build

Hello everyone, well first and foremost thanks to all the members here and all the helpful information that has been left for others to learn from. This board is fantastic.

I wanted to build a system and being a new dad i was on a tight budget, so i wanted to share what I did so if someone is in my situation they might get some inspiration. Heck if i can do it you can too...lol.

The Gear
HU -Clarion CZ500 - has external Bluetooth mic, and rear usb input which were the 2 things i was looking for. Crutchfield- came with Metra dash kit and wireing harness for fee.

I went with Sony- I know they have a rep for xploding but i gave them a go.

I spent 500-550 and it sounds great IMO.

Dude, those little JBL GTO's are fantastic. Just cover your box with something and it will be perfect. For that kind of coin I think you did quite well!

Also glad to see you got the fuse in there near the battery. I remember the days of being a new dad ( = short on money) and you sure don't need the expense (dare I say danger) of an electrical fire from doing stupid wiring.

 

I Agree..wanted to be as safe as possible.

Being a new parent..where you spend your money drastically changes...

The GTO rocks...I honestly didn't expect it to hit as hard as it did/does. I am happy with it. I didn't want something everyone could hear....but...looks like at a stop light with the windows down people will have to put up with Warren G saying..."regulators...mount up"....lol

I agree that carpet would finish the project nicely.
