My tacoma obviously doesnt have the jbl audio package in it, but im seeking a higher quality of sound at resonable price. I was considering installing a 4 channel amp with the capability of giving atleast 50 watts to each channel. Any thoughts on brands. Im a simple guy.. just want an awesome sound and moderate bass without installing a sub. Just want to utilize my tweets, mids, fullrange back door speakers. thanks.

On the surface your request is unreasonable - awesome sound, moderate bass w/o sub, 4-channel amp with 'at least' 50 watts/channel, reasonable price.

To get a reasonable answer you need to define the terms better - is $300 reasonable, or is $3000?

I ask this because, IMO, simply adding an amp to the OEM speakers would not result in what I would call awesome sound.
