I am looking to upgrade my stereo only slightly with a decent 4 channel amp. I am a novice regarding car audio but want to buy the correct powered amp. Looking for the speaker wattage or if someone knows what amp I should choose I would be grateful. Also, can I mount it under the seat? Noticed there were lots of wires.
    Thanks much,
    David

undercover tonneau ,bug deflector, removal of all tacoma emblems added a set of component speakers behind the rear seat egr in channel window visors
i just changed my speakers and it made a difference. the factory speakers are paper and are pretty crappy. in my opinion i think youd be happy with new speakers if your just looking for a small upgrade.....see what the others have to say . good luck whatever you decide

x2, complete garbage- I had the JBL system and still decided it was better to just throw away my stock speakers rather then pawn them off on ebay or somewhere else. Did'nt want the bad karma!

x2, again PAPER- even the sub is nothing but plastic with a paper speaker.

I would at least get a decent and moderately priced amp and speakers all around. Otherwise its not really worth the time or $$.

You are better off replacing the radio instead of an amp. I replaced mine & it is 1000% louder & better. I can hear my music now while riding with the windows down.

I checked on adding an amp & was quoted $380 at a shop. I replaced the radio with a Pioneer DEH-6300UB from Crutchfield $149(Free shipping, Dash kit, & wiring harness) & the $69 steering controller box .

Thanks for taking the time to give me some feedback. I appreciate it. I will post when I make my purchases to let you know how it goes.
