WITHOUT trashing them until these issues are resolved let me say this...

I would find it hard for me to tell you to use them for any stereo equipment at this point in my dealing with them.

Trying to frustrate and ignore people may work with some...

    just gets me more determined....

sorry for being vague but in case the do what is right I will hold off from my review of sonic electronix

thanks and being sincere here. beware!

I will explain when resolved...no need for me to roll in mud with them .....yet!

waiting to see how they handle issues!
If they step up I will say so...
if they dont I will say so also...

but for me to say "beware" that should tell you that I am concerned enough about this company that I am posting so any of you considering dealing with them should be careful.
(did that statement even approach english?? LOL)

I have used SonicElectronix for years and have had zero issues. I love that company. Fast shippers, excellent customer service...

I can only assume that the OP has had trouble receiving something that is out of stock?
    I dunno, I'm just guessing.

Well this doesn't sound very good especially since you won't say what happened and since I just ordered from them yesterday. They already shipped out my order yesterday and the ups tracking # says it will be delivered on Wednesday the 15th. Good luck to you though.

No, they did try to contact me though because the add said "free dash kit*" I saw the asterick and called in and asked if the 08 tacoma was a free one and the guy said no but I could get the "advanced" dash kit for a discount. Regular price was 34.99 but all I paid for it was $22.50. That was a good deal as far as I'm concerned because I checked prices at circuit city and on e-bay. Most e-bay sellers were on the east coast and were more expensive than sonic electronix.

I'm replacing my Jensen VM9512 with a double din model VM9022. Considered pioneer seriously but for only $387 for the Jensen I couldn't be swayed away to a pioneer 700BT. Besides I already have a Garmin C340 so I didn't need the navigation.

good for you and im sure it will be fine....

they are capable of pulling stock , packaging and shipping...

lets say they made a situation that could have been resolved easily a lot bigger and also thanks to a smart a$$ customer service guy...personal.

Now, sufficently annoyed.... I am going to wreak havoc in my own loving and giving ways:eek:

my concern with them is that they are not authorized sellers for many / most of the product lines they sell. If something is broken or goes out with the unit, then you cannot have it serviced under the original warranty. they claim that they will service the unit; makes me suspicious. I did some googling research and found more negative than positve out there so I decided to forgo my purchase. Made me wonder where they got their inventory - i guess the grey market
I was looking at a higher end Kenwood or Eclipse head unit. still haven't bought one now 3 months later.

    ok...
someone stepped up at sonic electronix some what...

I called to order alpine 609 and 600 for truck and was told that no one is happy with them, everyone buys the bostons. After being led down this road I got a very quick shipment and figured I'd just plug in speakers while I wait to order the baffles...
the Bostons sucked and were 40 rms... lost ALL bottom end..the stock speakers were superior overall and they are a jokePICT0001.jpg as this photo shows. So I contact sonic and they not only tell me I know nothing about sound they also want to charge me 15% restock and shipping both ways. I was ordering the alpines and was steered away. I completely understand IF I ordered alpines and didnt like em, charge me the restock but they directed me away from them. The customer service rep should be thankful I didnt drive the two hours to throw him over my knee and spank his arse...LOL
Anyway...they did me a FAVOR and lol...favor? and waived restock fee. All it took was 6 calls and a total of 8 emails...
Once again, if I choose the Bostons on my own I'd pay the 15% but I was steered there...guess there is a higher margin of profit.
    So:
    1 very quick shipping

2 be certain of what you want when calling and do not be steered.

3 customer service is not what a company does before you buy its what they do after you buy.

4 there was no need to make it personal like the CS rep did. This wasnt a big deal until he did that.

5 they are NOT authorized dealers of alpine and several other products

    will I use them again?
well no, I dont like being called an idiot by someone who answers a phone for a living.

    ok....
seems that someone at sonic electronix has some gray matter (brains) after all.
problems are somewhat resolved, not perfectly but easily falls into the fair category.

Deal with Lucas at this company, knows his stuff and gets things done.
Will I use them again now? YES:humble:...LOL...they fixed issues 95% which works well enough for me.
