I just got a bonus from my boss. Its a gift card to crutchfield.

Here is the setup i'm looking at.

    Amp:
    JL Audio JX360/4
    70w x4 RMS

    Front Speakers:
    JL Audio TR650-CSi

    Rear Speakers:
    JL Audio TR650-CXi

I'm looking at a carputer for the headunit, but i haven't decided on that part yet.

Is that amp going to over power those speakers? its rated at 70w RMS and the speakers at 50w RMS.

Crutchfield says the rear speakers aren't recomended for the Tacoma, but they are 6 1/2's just like what is in there. Will i have an issue with them fitting?

it could be a depth issue. perhaps those speakers are deeper than the stock ones. idont have a double cab so i really cant help much more then that. of course you might be able to use speaker rings. again im not certain sinc ei have no clue where the rear speakers are. goodluck to ya

That amp should do just fine with those speakers. MFG wattage recommendations are underrated to protect them from warranty claims and such. I would suggest though that you check on the Focal line of amps Crutchfield has. They were having some really good deals on them not long ago. May still be going on. They are absolutely top notch! Good luck with your system!
