A buddy came to me and asked if I could install a dvd/navi unit for him. He said he'd like it to play dvd's and be able to adjust the navigation on the fly like i can my pioneer. The problem is this, I cant find anything about this particular model or kenwood in general, and I cant quite figure out if the relay operated by the remote wire will work or if there is more to the brake sequence than that. Anyone own this particular model, or any newer kenwood, know how to bypass the video lockout? My buddy sure would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks TW!

    YES!!
On my Kenwood DNX 7100, all I did was ground the parking brake wire (Green I think), and I am able to work the navi and dvd on the fly. I don't know about the newer models though.
