So I bought a harness to adapt the trucks main harness to fit on an after market stereo... it powers up and everything but I have no sound... it has the JBL system in it and the harness is for this system... is it possible the amp is not powering up?

Looks like there is power going to the purple wire which by the trucks electrical diagram says is mute? Could this ne.the problem?

Yes... this set up uses RCA hookups from the speakers and the antenna is plugged in
