Looking to upgrade my factory radio to an in dash screen of some sort. Never had any experience with audio/video so what are the good brands these days and what are some good set-ups?

[IMG] This pioneer avh-p4300dvd is an outstanding unit! I had an Alpine unit in here first and I will never buy an Alpine again ,it was the cda 9887. I have had alot of Kenwood units , but I reall like this pioneer. I have a kenwood kvt -819dvd in my f250 , its an older unit and I love it ! For the $ this pioneer unit is really hard to beat!!

Did you all do your install and if so, how hard is it to remove the factory unit?

Question, with the pioneer do your steering wheel audio controls still work?

Does that pioneer unit come with GPS and hook into a rear view camera?

I am also interested in this set up, Where did you find it for 350?! Thats a good price compared to best buy at 500. I would also need an harness and steering wheel control pac and a dash kit.

So tempted to buy the Pioneer unit but that would put me 1 week farther out on getting my cap.........guess it will wait till the new year.

You have to have the PAC interface in order for the steering wheel controls to still work. Install is an absoulte BREEZE, it literally takes about 3 minutes to pull the stock head unit out. Once the wiring harness is hooked up, the new unit pops right back into place. It's WELL worth every dime I spent. As for the navigation, this unit doesn't come with it, but I believe Pioneer offers a navigation module that can be purchased separately. I also think I saw somewhere that the factory back up camera can be wired into the aftermarket head unit, but I'm not 100% sure, just search the forums.

No its not hard at all to remove, just takes a putty knife, a 10mm socket, I used a 6" extension, and a ratchet. Its super easy.
