So I have an access cab and the sound system is horrible to put It nicely. I have the areas in the back door where speakers can go but wonder if anyone has cut them out and added them:

It appears that my truck has the speakers in the front door, tweeters in front door and then tweeters in the head board/ceiling by the dome light. My car was a one owner and it was the State of Alabama. Everyone is saying those tweeters in the ceiling are aftermarket but I don't see the state of AL upgrading a sound system. I also can find a write up about them being stock. Any ideas?

I said I wasn't going to do any audio stuff in this truck til I heard how terrible the stock stereo was lol. I just added an aftermarket headunit and an 8" sub and I'm content now.

Ended up getting a pair of Rockford Fosgate 6.5 P1S652 for the front doors from a friend for 60 bucks brand new. Ordered the bracket and harness from Taco Tunes so I should be able to get them in this weekend.

I still really want to use my AudioBahn 10 inch subwoofer with my Memphis Class D amp but dont know where to put it since I have an access cab.

I know this is going to sound like a really stupid question...Where are the other 2 speakers. I have a 2012 access cab. I don't have any speakers in the door of the access cab. As near as I can tell I only have the 6x9s and the tweeters in the front doors. I only have the convenience package so are four speakers all I am supposed to have?

    They're in the headliner.

    To XD40SC:

I'm installing a 10" sub in my 2012 Access cab tomorrow when my box arrives. I ordered it from Supercrewsound http://www.supercrewsound.com/10tacoecconsole.html

I will take some pics and let you know how it works.

I found em in the headliner. They really aren't noticeable unless you know where to look, or listen to rather. I am contemplating a speaker upgrade. I am not an audiophile by any stretch of the mind, but the stock speakers are pretty low grade even by my standards. Being in the headliner with no access point am I pretty much stuck with them. If I do get new speakers I will just keep the factory headunit and replace the four door speakers.

My sub did not fit in the supercrewsound box, I ended up making my own box and it turned out great. I will try and post up some pics of it later
