    i am thinking about geting a cb radio for my 06 taco. I have no idea what im looking for so any help i can get would be great. I would like to know some general pricing because i am looking to keep costs down. Also would like to know if any come with the pa system. I know there are threads like this but they seem to all be filled with jargon. any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

    If you give us a price you have in mind we can go from there. Most CBs have a PA jack then you can just buy the speaker separate and mount it where you like.

    This you can get a great radio set up for as low as ~60 and, what I consider, a top of the line cobra setup for about 160 they include the radio, antenna, and everything needed to install, set up, and tune your radio for the biggest bang for your buck.

    i was wondering if there is a set up that i could get that is more around the 50-75$ range...im not looking for the best quality just somthing that is functional that i can use to get the job done

    and warhorse when you say 60 does that mean i can get the antenea and mounts with it? i have about little to no knowledge on this supject

    If you want pa and are willing to spend a little more, 100 more, and buy a kit then you can purchase a kit that has the Cobra 29 ltd.

    Edit: and yes the kits have the radio, antenna, coax cable, mounting hardware, and a swr meter which is used to tune your antenna the cobra has on build in to it.

    Ahhh....forgot you wanted the PA option. The Cobra 19 is about the same price as the uniden and has a PA jack.

    Get a Uniden 520XL on Amazon for $47, and then get a Lil Wil magnetic antenna for $30, and you'll be good to go. Great radio, cheap, and has PA.

    Go to Wal-mart and buy one of the little cobras for like 40 bucks they have PA hook ups and then but you a Wilson magnetic antenna 30 bucks or so from your local truck stop and plug and play.

    I'm a trucker and I think I know a little bit about CB's . If you want a good CB you have to speed at list 200$ . You need a CB that puts out more than 40 watts. Some good brand are: Connex, General Lee, Stryker, Galaxy(the 2 nr. 98 good, 959 bad). And as a antena a Willson 1000 or up.(it magnet antena). The antena you can buy at truck stops but the CB's online or Cb Shop. Watch out if you go to CBshop's they will try to reep you of. I have a Stryker SR-497-HPC and paid for it 450$.

    picked up a lil cobra at walmart for 35 bucks.....got to get an antena now.......any sugguestions on pa speakers?
