I’m just about to pull the trigger and replace my stock head unit on my ’06 double cab with a Double DIN unit (Clarion CX501).

I’m trying to make up my mind between the black kit or the silver kit, the smooth kit or the textured kit.

Could you guy and gals post some pics of your aftermarket double DINs to help me (and my wife) make up our minds.

Some pics and short details on the HU would be great too.

    Thanks:)

Sony 7" HU with Tomtom navigation, remote starter with 2 way security system.
This is the silver kit that came with the HU I bought from Crutchfield.com, I think silver texture will look better, but I didn't want to waste anymore money for that change. Also remember to tape the dash around factory radio with painter's tape so that you won't scratch up the dash.

    Here's mine . . .

    JVC KW-NT30HD (NAV/DVD/IPOD/Fully Detachable Face/ETC)

Install kit was the Metra Silver Textured (P/N - 99-8214TG)
    Everything to install a Double-DIN, Single-DIN with cubby, or 2x Single-DIN units

No Squeaks, rattles, gaps or issues during install. I like it. Sorry, no day shots yet.
