that is cool as shit! Great mod. Ipad 2 with 3g wireless hooked up to your truck would be the shit. curious to see up close how it docks to head unit behind it. awesome work!

I think it would be fucking sick in my opinion, It would be cool to make it so if you remove the ipad theres just a single din behind it that only functions with the ipad disconnected. That way its not so ugly when the ipad is removed... Or you could just make a sick TRD logo out of metal that is embossed that you can only see with the ipad removed... SO many ideas

The only thing that would make it better is if it still looked good when the iPad wasn't installed. I think the metal insert or making the single din look dressed up instead of a big hole in the dash like discussed above.

If he makes a kit I'd think about it. I don't even own an iPad but I could justify buying one for that specific purpose. The Audison Bit1 has an optical input and I bet you could use an adapter to get digital optical audio down to the Bit.1 for a zero noise application.
