I have a project / play car that has a component speaker setup and amp etc in it..... If I take all of that out (i never hardly drive the car nor listen to music in it), I can have a component setup for my truck...I dont remember the sizes right off. I also have a 10" sub at my fathers house as well...and a few extra CD decks laying around. What are the basics i would need to maybe install all of this into my tacoma since I never listen to music in my supra.???

I was also scrounging around a few mins ago and found some more small speakers that would maybe work good in the rear door...i dunno they may be too small though..they are a set of looks like 2 way infinity...but about 5" somethings. What are the standard sizes in our trucks?

Ok....so here is what I have at the moment.

2 older CD players....1 is a pioneer premier (currently in supra)...was expensive for its day
    one is an older kenwood.

    the component set is this:
    http://www.amazon.com/Phoenix-Gold-RSD6-5CS-Radial-Component/dp/B000TBQ8QU

    the extra 2 - 5 1/4" speakers I found are a pair of infinity 512i
    http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/...kProduct=Y&Language=ENG&Country=US&Region=USA

I have a 4 channel concept amp....need to look up specs on it

and an old polk audio shallow ex10 sub.

Skip adding the 5.25's to the tacoma and make a baffle to put them in the Supra doors. Run those off of the HU in the Supra and you will have tunes in both cars.

meh, having sound in the supra is pointless...its a car built for performance and the radio never comes on.

I am thinking of putting the 5.25's in the rear doors of the tacoma since I am sure they put out more and clearer power than the stockers back there

    Very nice Supra!

If you will have people in the back of the truck often, then the 5-1/4" speakers may let them enjoy the music a little more. A lot of people only upgrade the front speakers because that is where most of the sound will come from. Since you already have them I don't see why you should not install them. Just get some speaker baffles cut and your good to go.

    Thanks...a reasonable answer!!

For the fronts, I will have to install an amp since it is a component with the crossover boxes for tweeters and the door speakers.

yep they are...I have yet to get to hear them. I bought them new a couple years back when they were the rave. I know they are rated at 60rms but hear people run them between 100 and 150 rms.
