Need help on which headunit

Ive been trying to find a good double din headunit that would work great for my truck. I have narrowed it down to these too. Which do you guys think would be better?

both good brands but i alwys like pioneer!!

I have the Pioneer that you are linking to. I personally like it alot.

No, I haven't had any issues with it. Though I would reccomend getting a remote of some sort, as the touch screen is not intuitive to use without looking at it. I like the tactile response of real buttons, so that I can avoid looking over at it while driving... but I knew that going in, so it isn't a real suprise for me.

I will also add that the PAC SWI adapter that is used for Pioneer units (to integrate with OEM steering wheel controls) is not compatible with this unit. You will apparently need an IR type but I don't remember the model number.

No worries on that. My truck doesnt have the steering wheel controls. Thanks for the word

Oh yeah, another thread reminded me of this. The Pioneer can be adjusted so that the buttons and the screen are amber. They actually match pretty close and so the whole thing looks much more OEM. To me it just blends in better.

i'd have to go w/ the jvc, has a few more options i like. i really like the 6-channel preamp outputs (front, rear, sub) rather than four, and the sd slot i would use alot

Oh yeah, forgot about mine only having front and rear RCA outputs. Not really an issue for me, as I don't run rear speakers anyway and can use the rear as sub-outs. I also don't use an SD card for anything. The Pioneer has a USB input, as well as mini jack on the front, iPod adapter add-on, XM or Sirius support; so there are plenty of input sources.
