CB wiring HELP! Speaker too quiet!

    Sounds like these Cobras arent very well made

    Winch, front hitch, step bars, bed extender, bed step, gull-wing toolbox, tailgate lock, security system, cb radio, etc.
    Jon is entirely correct. Try a different microphone. Nearly all Cobra radios (and "export" derivatives) use the wiring for the microphone as part of the speaker wiring (allows speaker microphones & similar). If that resolves the problem, check the wiring on the original microphone.

    if you can see, there are only 3 wires going to the end of the mic cord, one is shredded/missing. i dont think i can solder it or fix it so i have to get a new mic, but im pretty sure this was the culprit, as i have eliminated any other possibilities.
