I scuffed my dash a little while installing my sub yesterday, anyone have any tips for touching it up? It's a grey dash.

There is a way the melt the plastic to fill the scratch. You'll have to do a search or maybe someone else can elaborate on this.

Thanks for the tip! I did a little searching on here and found what you were talking about. I don't think mine is bad enough to heat, I may just try a crayon and see what happens.

SEM paints applied with a little vinyl sanding dust mixed with crazy glue, and a texture pad will leave a surface that requires a pro to notice it isn't OEM - of course it takes a pro to apply it since technique is everything.

I know this 'cause I screwed up the dash of my wife's 4-Runner, asked the dealer, who referred me to a guy they call, etc., etc., etc.

I ended up just using a pencil. The scratch was very minor in the dark grey area above the head unit. You can barely tell its there now.

+1 to you sir. I have a very small area where the cord for my GPS rubbed against the dash and revealed the light grey primer.

Thank you for sharing that info. Ordered that paint off eBay and it worked great on the dash of my new, used truck. Appreciate it.
Curious how you found that match?

Old thread but I was looking for the answer of covering up scuffs on the gray/silver areas of the dash that got scuffed during stereo install. Tried custom mixing paint and a few other things but in the end the best answer was a fine point, metallic silver sharpie. It blends extremely well.
