Decided to tackle my sound deadening today in my 05 access cab. I bought 100 sq ft (not all for my truck:rolleyes:) of FatMat. Started off first removing the back panel which just has about 12 clips that are pulled off. Then i decided to take out the rear storage. At this point I realized I could run my wires a different way to make it much cleaner. After removing seats and the storage i removed the back 2 pillars and also the clip that holds the access cab locked. Then came the headliner. There is a video made by a member on this thread (cant remember his name but heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIdhPrb06t8&feature=relmfu) Now with the headliner out I have started the back panel of sound deadening and im about half way done and figured this would be a good place to take a break and upload some pics. If people are interested ill continue this and post after pics of the back and roof done. Mostly im doing this becuase whenever my sub hits the dome light rattles and drives me nuts!

    Heres a few pics:

Finally was able to finish the back panel and the room tonight. Will be redoing the process and hoping that the light stops rattling.

If you were to do the entire cab then yes it will help reduce road noise.

I have my sub directly behind the drivers seat. I have a kicker 12"

For the noise question(s), Fatmat is a vibration damper, not a noise suppression layer. Vibration damper will cut some noise just due to adding mass, but if you want real noise isolation/reduction you'll need to add some CCF and MLV to your projects.

All I needed was the vibration to go away which it did and it sounds amazing now. Good to know about the CCF and MLV
