So do i need new speaker mounts to replace the stock 6.5s to aftermarket 6.5s? Im guessing no but i saw 6.5 front mounts on ********* and wondered why they would be needed?

Toytec ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper and full skid plates underneath. Looking into redoing the suspension and maybe repainting the ol' Taco.

Yes, you will need some baffles to mount aftermarket speakers in the door. Marv makes some good baffles. He built the box that I installed, and it is of great build quality. I cannot give him accolades enough for his great attitude and workmanship. I did an install thread about when I replaced the HU in my 08: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/audio-video/12053-pics-my-sub-amp-installation.html
It should help answer a couple other questions mentioned in this thread.

I would highly recommend replacing the HU. It improves sound leaps and bounds and adds flexibility for future expansion (amps, subs, video, etc.). I added subs before changing the door speakers because I felt like that was the most drastic change (and I already had the subs). I am planning on changing the door speakers out this month. I have some pioneer componets picked out and in my closet. I'll post some pics of that install process at some point in the next month.

If you, or anyone else have other questions feel free to PM me or ask here and I will give you any information I can offer.
