    FIXED!

    so here's what I did...

I took out the HU, and completely removed the harness with the rear speaker wires in it, I matched the color, and made each piece of wire about 6 inches longer, to give myself more room to get a proper connection.

put it back together and it worked. Fuck.

Basically I didn't do a good job of hooking it up last time, now it works and I am pumped!

thanks for all the help guys, it was good to rule some things out and made it much easier today!

Sounds like one channel was out of phase. This would have caused the exact symptoms you mention.

Sorry to chime in so late, but glad to hear you got it going!

    Enjoy the flatsub!

Have this powered sub in my cart right now on crutchfield. Researching how to connect to stock HU. Are you satisfied with the sound? Did you buy speaker wire to keep colors straight to rear of truck/sub?

for me the sound is perfect, I don't care for booooming bass, but this fills the truck nicely. I'd definitely buy it again.

I just used normal household speaker wire, I had enough laying around, and it takes quite a bit running it all the way to the HU.

this is a very old thread but I am having the same issues. I am using the ********* harness but same concept, it taps into the rear speakers. I have the harness plugged into the factory HU and the rear speakers plugged into the harness. The rear speakers still work so the harness is working, when you were getting nothing from your sub before you fixed it, was your red power light on? I know my battery power and ground are okay. But I am not getting sound or a power light. same sub btw
