Upgrading 07 Tacoma CD player to OEM changer

I just got my 2007 Taco and love it. I would like to upgrade my factory CD player to the OEM 6CD changer. I am happy with the sound quality (for the moment) and just want the 6 disc functionality.

I am seeing the 05 and later stock CD changers on Ebay but was wondering if anyone would know if the JBL model changer will plug and play in place of the stock single CD player/radio?

It is simple to do, I think there are some DIY's on here. Shop around for the unit though; I have seen them go VERY cheap on ebay.

Converting to the JBL is going to entail much more work and $. If you have to have the JBL, make sure you get all the wiring and the rear subwoofer and amp. There may be other details I'm unaware of.

Seems like you got your answer already, but yes just to confirm, the single cd and the NON JBL 6 disc are just plug and play. The JBL system uses and additional harness or two I believe, which feed the amp and sub, so it is not plug and play in the purest sense of the phrase, but could be done.
