Can you not fold down your seats and bump at the same time with this setup? Looks like the plastics is pushing in the surround of the speaker a bit.

When I first got my truck, I put 2 12" Elemental Designs 13Ov.2 subs in a fiberglass box back there. It was a pain to design, looked like crap, but pounded stupid loud. The thing with my design was that I couldn't fold down the seats. To get access or anything, I had to unbolt the seatbacks, and remove them as a unit. I also had to remove the plastic on the seatbacks, as there was tons of interference. Eventually, I got tired of the pain it was just to tune the amp, and removed the whole deal. I sold the subs, and went stock for a while, partly because of my 2-year-old daughter, partly because I wanted some in-cab storage. That didn't last long, and now I have a single JL 10" W3.

20" rims, pioneer 4200 DVD, 2- 11" screens in head rest, 2 jl 12w1s, jl 1000/1 for subs jl 300/4 for highs. Alpine 6 1/2" components in front and Alpine 3 way 6 1/2" in back. Also bunch of other stuff to come as time permits.
I have 2 jl 12w1's on a jl 1000/1 behind mine. I have pics on here somewhere. It sounds great. Have had alot of compliments on my system. I'm about to build a new box to see if I can get alittle more airspace and try some jl 12w3's out.

I'm running a single SD-2 12 in my DC and I think it's more than enough. I couldn't imagine running two of these.

There are people running 2 13.5" JL shallow mounts so 12" is not a big deal... if you go shallow mount. FOr a full size sub you cant go bigger than 10" or you lose the ability to fold the seats, have to remove the rear seat plastic, have to do the seat back latch mod, etc. and even then only a handfull of full 12" subs will fit for depth and only 1 sub fits for air volume.

Alpine Type-R Shallow mount here FTW! Great sub too, puts out very low bass. .60ft box currently.

All subwoofers put out low bass, that's what they're designed to do....
