Nice Dallas! I've heard some iPhone 4 models getting warm with certain accessories, this can be one since the PA15 charges your phone as well.

I got the cable in and only tested the iPhone4 (mine) that didn't work before. Same thing with new cable. I'll test more tomorrow

Also sorry, meant to tell you, I am on 5.1.1 with my iPhone 4s and here is a pic of the USA Spec cable it came with and the model/serial number if that helps at all.

    I'm revisiting this issue again...

A while back, I had hooked up my iPhone 4 to stream Pandora. It seemed to work at the time. I just converted to an iPhone 5.

Besides the plug bring totally different ....
Is it still a firmware issue with the USA spec?

I still use the Classic ... I'm not sure if its worth finding a new cable and or some sort of splitter where I can use the classic or the 5. I'm just not sure any one USA Spec unit will effectively work with both Classic or iPhone 5 (or any other generation for that matter)
    I wish there was....

My husband has an Acura and a different USA spec unit. From what he's read, all he needs is an adapter. Same situation... Classic and iPhone 4 were previously used and now have a 5.

I have no idea about firmware version. I ended up getting a 4S a month ago and it works (only on the drivers side speakers). Ugh

That was probably the wrong word for it. You're using iOS6 similar to me.

That might be why it's only playing in one speaker. Lack of compatibility with iOS6.

I need to call them.... I would buy a new one in a heartbeat if it was compatible with ALL older versions of phones & iPods. But at this point, my classic works great with it. I just can't stream Pandora.
