I did a bad job of trimming the panel, but overall I'm happy with the way it turned out. Only space sacrificed was the door pocket. I made the box from a RCI aluminum fuel cell. Double dynomatted and rattle can bed lined then bolted to the door. Upholstery guy didn't like my choice of vinyl over carpet. Sub sounds good. Won't win any base competitions, but it gives you that good punch in the chest I wanted when you turn it up.

I am brand new to this forum and to trucks for that matter. I have an 08 access cab and am having a hard time figuring out how to put a sub box in and still be able to fold down/up rear seats with box in. Also I read in another thread on here in order to change front speakers to aftermarket ones I can't just buy the 6x9s and them still attach to mounting bracket. Is that true.

Its under the drivers seat i ran the wires under the carpet. I've had the sub for some time but I'm kinda getting over having that big of a sub. Thinking of ditching it and running 3 bucket seats when i can afford a cage.

Curious.. Anyone tried a late-model (I have a '13) Access Cab build under the rear seats?

I've seen that there's a frame there for the cubbies under the seats that makes it difficult, but possibly something fabricated there? Or would it be too much to tackle with that sheet metal framing in the way? Man that'd make life easy if the cubbie sheet metal wasn't there, for fabricating sub, amps, processor etc etc. All nicely tucked under the flip-down rear seats. Just thoughts.

I know it's been done on double-cabs, but appears to be quite the challenge from a space standpoint in the same area of the access-cab. Might be impossible for sub. Possibly amps though as there are so many extremely small class-D's out there now. Believe it or not, the Hypex-based Biketronics amps being a new hot brand in car audio for sound quality in the tiny-amp market, but that's another topic.

As seen in this thread. I think my '13 may be the same, unless they changed from '12 to '13.

My compartments in my DC is cut out from when i walled the truck.
The biggest issue was the loss in floor support. That compartment also acts as a type of cross member to stiffen the floor or at least in the DC it did

Anyone ever glassed an enclosure into the passenger side under the dash? I've seen it done in a car as small as the BRZ and it works out really really nicely if done and finished well.

    Hi Matt,

Is that a custom box you have? I really like your set up back there.

I'm currently confirming I was sent the correct box but here is a Supercrewsound box for the Access Cabs... as you can see the legs don't even come close to touching the floor and there are some other fitment issues:

It houses a down firing IDQ d4 v.4 10" Image Dynamics sub.
