Help: pioneer external bluetooth microphone sucks

just put my pioneer DEH-9400BH headunit in this weekend and it has one of those cheap external microphones for bluetooth calling. needless to say its horrible... i haven't had much luck finding a good replacement, anyone find something better? also what's a good mounting position for it? i currently have it above the rear view mirror pointed at the driver seat.
