    No JBL up in here.

    I just ordered an AudioControl LC7i: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_161LC7IG/AudioControl-LC7i-Gray.html

I have these sitting in my living room:

Alpine MRD-M301 mono (sorry pic is upside down :), and forget about the box the amps are sitting on)

Going to ask Mr. Marv about some baffles and possibly a custom 10" box.

    Questions:

Is it a bad idea to mix f/r speaker brands to save a few $$? Would there be a noticible decrease in sound quality? Alternative suggestions for the rears?

Going to do the doors and probably the back with 'Dynamat'. I'm looking for advice for where to get some decent stuff for a good price. Some people on here suggest Raammatt but it's still about $200 for two rolls. That's a chunk of change. What should I use and where should I get it?

Where to mount the LC7i, amps, and crossovers? I am thinking the LC7i could go under the driver's seat and the amps (maybe crossovers too) could be mounted on a custom board behind the back seats. This is new territory for me so I could use some pointers on how to get it done. Should I put the LC7i, amps, and crossovers all behind the rear seats?

Also, what about an amp install kit? CAn anyone recommend one that works well for the setup I described? Ebay for this perhaps?

Oh, and does anyone know the voltage I can expect to draw from the battery to my amps? My MTX is rated 45w x 4 @ 12.5V but it rocks up to 70x x 4 @ 14.4V.

    Gracias :)

Well, Mr. Marv will be a valuable source of info, he has helped me a ton and is building my stuff now.
For speaker selection - optimum is to have front and rear match. How important is that is up to you. I want similar tonal balance but I keep the rear channels so low it probably doesn't matter. If you like them more present I would think it's more important. If it was me I would install what you've got and save for the rear channels you want.
My vote for your fronts would be the Hybrid Imagine set. Looks like they have a set on sale: http://store.12velectronics.com/imagine-i61-2-v2-component-coaxial-speaker-set-open-box/
About the same price as the others you are looking at. For rears I would do the Mirus: http://store.12velectronics.com/mirus-m61-2-coaxial-speaker-set/
There's a lot of great subs that would fit and if you're planning a single ten I bet there will be enough room to mount everything on the opposite wall from the sub enclosure.
Your amps won't draw too much. Check the size of the fuse on each and add them together, that's your max draw.
Keep us posted on your progress!

Rear speakers are just for fill. Not a huge concern being diff brands. Get a decent set of rear coaxials get good quality componemnts for front. Far as amperage check out your fuses on amps and add them up along with any thing else that you might add to this circut,(lc7, another future amp or bigger amp). Your probably good with a 4 gauge, 2 amp kit. Just get a decent brand. You know how much you want to spend and these wire kits are 50-200 dollars. Amazon, Crutchfield, VM innovations and Sonic Electronics are good places to look I have orderd from and had good experience with all.
    De nada:)
