So what are known HU's that work with steering wheel controls.....

I am shopping for head units and I decided to lean towards a DVD/Reciever as I really do not need Nav (I have a portable garmin). That being said, I really want to use something that keeps the steering wheel controls operable.

I know the Eclipse AVN6620 works but are there any others? Pioneer, kenwood? Is there a special harness? Model suggestions?

I been told my alpine 9884 works with the adapter...not sure tho

 

The options open up considerably if you are willing to purchase an adapter.

 

I have a JVC AVX810 that works with the controls. All the HU's will need a Pac-Swi adapter to work. I will be willing to Part with my Jvc for $425 if interested because I do want one with Navi.

Edit: I will also throw in the Ipod audio/video cable in with it. $45 value.

 

i got a Kenwood and it works with the pac swi jack too.

 

I am not discounting an adapter at all I guess.....would stereo install places know about how to install the PAC-SWI or would that be asking too much, lol

Fujitsu Ten, manufacturer of Eclipse, also makes Toyota factory electronics. I can only speak for the AVN-6620 and 2005+ non JBL systems, but everything plugs right in. No adapters are needed to hook this head unit up.
