Help with navigation

Need some help with my navigation on my Pioneer Double Din HU. When i go to try and make it take me to an address, POI, anywhere it doesnt detect where im currently located. It makes me put in my current location instead of finding it. Anybody know how i can get it to detected instead of typing in my current location?

 

where is your gps antenna?

 

Honestly i have no idea. No Antenna came with it so i dont know

 

Does it track your movements on the road, or are you only able to use it as a portable "Google Maps"?

It has to have an antenna to work.

 

Should an antenna have come with it

 

I've never seen an in-dash unit that didn't.

Should be a plastic square that has a strong magnet embedded in the bottom with about 10-15ft of cable and a gold "nut" type coaxial connector.

 

yeah if it has nav built in it should have an ant. what unit do you have?
