    greeting I have a 2001 dbl cab Tacoma and I'm wanting to replace the radio just need some insight on the install method I think I found the info on how to get it out and all I guess I'm just needing some help with the wires and all any help is appreciated.

    The wiring is pretty straight forward, if you get the harness for your truck, it makes everything color coded. From there just match the colors to the back of your head unit and splice. If the colors are a little off, usually they're imprinted with circuit designators.

    I highly discourage the use of 'black tape' insulation. If you have any skills with a soldering iron, solder the wires together and use some heat shrink to insulate them.
